South Sudan Kick-boxer James Majok failed to fight at the world kickboxing Championship in Egypt last weekend.
Egypt was selected as host of the world kickboxing Championship in 2019 but failed to hold the event according to WFK standards.
According to reports from participating countries, there were a lot of scandals accusing the Egyptian Kickboxing Federation President of mismanagement of the event.
The EKF president is accused of messing up the events time table which was meant to start with weighing of fighters on Monday but an abrupt change from EKF.
On the day of the event (Wednesday) Mr.Mohamed Sobih surrounded by an entire armed bodyguard surprised all international teams by announcing the closure of the Stadium and asked teams to contribute €15000 before the stadium is opened.
The EFK is accused of Disrespectful the world kickboxing federation while the EFK are also blamed for moving the fights that where scheduled for Thursday to Friday evening.
And moving the Friday evening fight where James majok was meant to fight was moved to Saturday Evening the same time he was to check in to fly back to Juba.
Puro Okello head of South Sudan Kick Boxing Federation while speaking to Tksports-ss.tv expressed his disappointment with the EKF on the way they handled the whole event.
Okello says after massive investment in time and resources he regrets that James Majok was unable to fight.
“its so disappointing for us because this was going to be the first time my fighter James was to fight at the biggest stage, but all where let down by the disorganization from the EFK,” Okello said.
SSDKF President now says his focus shifts to December 3rd where the federation is organizing the South Sudan kickboxing MMA Muay Thai K-1 National championship.
