Kator leapfrog Malakia FC at the top of Juba Local League Standings

FT: Malakia FC 0-0 Viva Star

Kator players celebrate Lako's (7) goal and team's 3rd for the game

The Loberas humbled Rabita FC 4-0 on Friday afternoon in an early kick-off to go one point above Malakia who later were held to a goaless draw by Viva Star.

Thanks to a brace from Abraham Shidor, and a goal each from Lako in the 73rd minute and John Albino on the 87th minute that gave assistant Coach George Brim his second win in raw at the helm as the head coach Dr. Peter is on national duty with Bright Stars.

The win takes Kator above Malakia FC on goal difference, as both teams are tied up on 29 points each from 14 league games played.

Today’s result means Coach Bilal Felix Komoyangi’s side have gone two games without getting maximum points and have only collected two out of possible six.

The title race is beginning to open up, with only eight games to go, both teams are yet to meet in the second round which might turn to be the determinant.

Munuki, The Snakes are as well very much into the race and they would reduce the gap to only one point if they get past Al-Hilal on Saturday at Jamus Playing Ground.

The 2020 South Sudan Cup Champions, Atlabara FC, El-Merriekh and Amarat United have all got opportunities, if only they can be consistent with their results in the remaining games.

The top six teams are yet to face each other off in the race to the title and whoever maximizes points against close rivals, then they would have real good chance of being crowned Champions come March.

Saturday 29th January Fixtures:
