Dusman Peter celebrates his second goal with team-mates
Former Yei Central FC attacker Dusman Peter was the hero of the day after inspiring Munuki FC to their first ever silverware since the establishment of the club in 1988.
Dusman scored a brace in 3-1 win over second placed Amarat United on Saturday, 9th April, 2022 at Buluk Training Center to win the title with four points clear (47).
The former Atlabara FC winger, Dusman opened the scoring in the 20th minute, tapping in Nelson Victor’s cross at the near post to give lead to the Snakes.
The Skyscrapers had dominant first 15 minutes performance and came close to taking the lead in the 3rd minute, if not to be for Emmanuel Dici’s save.
Coach Wlliam Mayom’s side came back strong in the second spell and Majok Majak Jiar leveled the score in the 69th minute.
Whereas, Munuki replaced Victor Nelson at the break and he was rushed to the hospital for having difficulty in breathing according to information from the club officials.

Dusman then restored the lead for the Snakes, when he timed his run to meet Jak James’ cross beating out of position Amarat United goalie, Michael Marko.
George Augustino, who came in for Dusman Peter, then completed the score, when he beautifully curved past Marko and hand Munuki the title in most comfortable fashion.
The Snakes have topped the table for most parts of second round of the league and fought hard to land their first title.
Since independence, Atlabara FC have won more league titles (5) than any other side in that period.
Munuki who bought 250 tickets a day before the macth for their fans, will now go on to represent Juba Local Football Association in the upcoming national competition.
