AFCON Qualifiers: Stefano Names Final Travelling Squad.

Bright Stars head coach Stefano Cusin has named his final 26-man squad for the 2023 AFCON Qualifiers next month.

South Sudan will open their campaign with an away fixture against The Gambia on 4th June in Senegal, followed by a home game five days later 9th June with Mali at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Kator FC’ Dominic Angelo, Sebit Ajak and Sudan-based Dominic Abui are the players omitted from the squad.

Goalkeepers: Juma Jenaro Awad (Al Wadi Khartoum) Sudan, Ramadan John Mayik (Malakia FC) Juba and David Alfred (Kator FC) Juba.

Defenders: Peter Maker (Zesco United FC, Zambia), Bernad Agele (SC Villa, Uganda), Omot Sebit David (El-Merreikh, Juba), Wani Ivan Adebo (Bull FC, Uganda), Rashid Toha Freedom (Arua Hill SC, Uganda), Atendele Gerica (Arua Hill SC, Uganda), Matwakill Abdelkarim (Atlabara FC, Juba), Rehan Angier (Munuki FC, Juba).

The team is set to travel to Morocco for camping before they travel to Senegal, where they will battle with The Gambia.
