Six Juba based clubs and Al Hilal Wau are said to have expressed their interest in securing the signature of Amarat United Midfielder Omar Michael Luate in the June transfer window.
According to unconfirmed reports, Omar whose contract runs out at the end of this month, has attracted interest from a number of first division and a second division clubs in Juba.
It’s rumored that, newly promoted to first division side Simba FC have tabled a bid of around $8,000 to acquire the services of the attacking midfielder.
Whereas, one of the Juba Local League power house, Malakia FC are believed to be willing to offer a sign on fee of around $6,000 plus two motorcycles.
Champions of Ramadan Cup, Kator FC and Atlabara are the other two clubs from the first Division in Juba interested, according to reports, they are yet to meet the player’s representatives.
Elsewhere, the newly promoted Second Division side, Jamus FC are said to be the frontrunners after tabling a sign on fee of around $10,000 on a two years deal.
Reports emmeging from Wau indicates that Current South Sudan Cup holders, Al-Hilal FC are also interested in the services of Amarat United stand-in Captain.
Despite all the interest and offers on the table, its believed that the Skyscrapers are still considering their chances of re-signing the player.
The 20-year-old former Dreams FC Yei player signed for Amarat United in 2018 and has spent the last four years with the club.
Omar has helped Amarat United to three South Sudan Cup titles, one National and two under Juba Local Football Association.
The Yei-born midfield maestro, helped the Skyscrapers to the second placed finish in the recent concluded Juba Local League, difference of four points with the Champions Munuki FC.
