Joseph Ndepi elected as President of Yambio Local Football Association

Former Super Star Fc Yambio and St Mary’s Fc coach Mr. Joseph Ndende Ndepi has been duly elected as the new President of Yambio Local Football association after garnering 21 votes from the 37 ballots casted. In a highly contested election held this morning at Naivasha Hotel, his rival Mr. Silvester Ruati who has served as the Interim President got 16 votes.

Speaking after the victory, Mr. Joseph Ndepi said “I would like to appreciate the Elective general assembly of Yambio LFA for trusting me with their votes to lead this association. I would want to thank my predecessor who have worked tirelessly to improve things at the association that’s why I will not be starting from a scratch.”

Ndepi promised that his administration will prioritize restructuring of systems within the association including the improvement of filing system, development of a fundraising strategy, establishment of a press unit within the association among others.

On his part, Mr. Silvestor Ruati the outgoing Interim President of Yambio LFA, congratulated his successor and promised his continuous support for the development of football in the State. “Ndepi is my brother and I will always be available to support his administration at any capacity when needed”.

In other contest, Mr. Asento Dominic Tikimo won as the Vice President with tight result, 19 votes while his competitor Dominic Raymondo was one less (18).

The positions of President and Vice President at Yambio LFA went vacant following the resignation of Mr. Felix Katie (President) and Mr. Samuel Kondo (Vice-President) towards end of 2021.
