Former Mbarara City FC attacker, Makueth Wol graced his full league debut with a beautiful goal in the 27th minute against newly promoted Simba side.

The Loberas went into the tie missing couple of their key names to the U-23 national duty, including influential midfielder Joseph Malish and center-back Samuel Tabani.

This two sides locked horns in South Sudan Cup less than a month and Kator went on to eliminate Simba on shootouts after the normal play ending in stalemate.

Simba who were missing their head Coach Simon James Yor from the dugout, struggled to create gaol opportunity in the opening 45 minutes of the game.

Though, the Lions came back strong in the second spell but survived a sacare when John Albino’s half volley was ruled out for an offside.

Simba then responded in from a long through-in which was tapped in at the far post by Omar John to level the score 1-1 on the 85th minute.

The Loberas protested the Simba goal for an offside but the match official was never interested in the call. Simba FC will be delighted to open their account at the Top flight with a point against a team considered one of the favorites to win the league title.

Kator will be up next against Viva Star, whereas, Simba will be visiting Makakia FC who beat another newly promoted side, Citizen FC 2-0 at Jamus Playground.
